Host Elizabeth Elfenbein engages with women aged 18 to 100+ in intimate conversations, uncovering their experiences and wisdom while highlighting their impact on creating a healthier, more inclusive world. These stories not only honor women’s resilience and leadership but also foster meaningful dialogue around mental health, empowerment, and innovative solutions that help close the gender health gap and inspire change.

Dr. Latha Alaparthi on perseverance as a woman in medicine.
Today we’re getting under the hood with Dr. Latha Alaparthi a daughter, sister, mom, wife, women’s advocate, and a physician.
Latha completed her medical degree in India and moved to CT in 1993. After completing internal medicine Gastroenterology and Hepatology training at the Yale University hospital system, she began her career as a gastroenterologist in private practice in 2001.
During her nearly 22 years of practice, Latha was involved in several leadership roles within and outside of her practice, including running the practice for 6 years as Managing Partner, President of the medical staff of a Community hospital, and recently President of a physician and patient advocacy non-profit organization.
She is most proud of her strong beautiful daughters and the women she has crossed paths with during her personal and professional life. She believes in lifelong learning (recently received an MBA online), women in leadership, and equal opportunity, and is passionate about access and quality in healthcare.
